Three awesome acts make their Resonate debut this Thursday night at the Grand Hotel. Kicking off at 7pm is The Taste who seem to be popping up everywhere at the moment. They also recently performed their track “Lucid Dreams” on Balcony TV, you can check out the film clip here.
Filling the 8pm slot at Resonate is Bosko & Honey. Don’t be fooled by Bosko and Honey’s cute and quirky appearance… this all-original, virtuosic and genre-defying duo has travelled the globe and is something to behold – Bosko & Honey will warm your heart, make you laugh, and shock you to the core. They used to hide in Kuranda but not so much since joining the global ukulele explosion back in 2005, when Bosko gave Honey a ukulele for her birthday. Charming and disarming, Bosko & Honey’s “Ukulele Love-In Show” is a unique experience in the truest sense. Part fiery cabaret, part fire-side chat, their act is an intimate yet wildly entertaining experience – an engaging blend of virtuosic musicianship, family-friendly yet subversive humour and sometimes the (very) unexpected! – Read our interview with Bosko & Honey here.
Last but certainly not least on the bill is Cairns original music icon PaddyJ AKA Patric Jung. PaddyJ was a key member of Cairns bands Infamous Izzy, The Killer Beez and more. He has also released Solo albums under the name Jung. One of the most prolific and eclectic songwriters around, make sure you don’t miss Paddys set. You can check out Paddys song off the Pandamonium 2004 compilation below
