Raymond ‘Ray’ Danes is an Australian singer, songwriter. Born in Atherton, Qld before later moving to Bega, NSW. He learned to play Drums at a very young age and later started playing guitar, singing and writing songs. He began studying music and moved to Cairns in 2011 to pursue a music career. In 2012, inspired by Ed Sheeran, he began playing gigs starting at ‘Clifton Capers’. Ray Danes won the songwriting competition at the ‘Tablelands Folk Festival’ 2012. In 2013 he released his ‘The Fog’ EP. In April 2014 he signed a recording and publishing deal with Ritzland Records & Ritzland Music Publishing with his debut album to be released later this year.
