Three Mile Road

Three Mile Road – Album Launch

Townsville band Three Mile Road launch their self titled album on June 13th at the the Herbert Hotel, alongside other local bands Amy Zaghini & Deklan Howden, Lost Boys and Crossroads. When lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and harmonica player Damien McCluskey was asked about genre of music Three Mile Road play, he was quick to reply “I’d say we sit in the middle of a cross intersection where Blues, Folk, Rock n Roll and Country all meet. Though, unlike our first CD, this album consists mostly of our rock n roll material. We started playing these tunes at our last CD launch on June 1st last year and thought we should record a rock and roll album as soon as we could.”

This show will be the last with their original drummer Andrew Elliott and Damien hopes that they will find a new drummer soon and continue with Three Mile Road.

The recording of their new album took place in both Brisbane and Townsville. Damien explains “We recorded 6 of the 10 tracks in Brisbane at Alchemix Studios and the remaining 4 in Townsville at the Rec Room recording studio. At the moment the album will only be available at our live shows, but hopefully it will also be available to purchase from our website and iTunes in a few weeks.”
