The Brazilians 2021

The Brazilians – Black Wolf

The Brazilians have just released their sophomore album ‘Black Wolf’ and will be having the official launch party at The Tanks Arts Centre Friday the 12th November with local band ‘Swamp Donkey’ also on the bill.

Featuring the previous singles ‘Jet Black Soul’ and ‘Dark Tattoo’ along with the current single ‘Waiting (For Rock N Roll To Come Around)’ which has garnered airplay and positive reviews around the world.

The album title (and title track) is about a corrupt Jo Bjelke-Peterson era cop that terrified musicians on the Gold Coast in the early 80s. “If The Black Wolf came and did a raid on your house and you didn’t have any drugs, he would bring his own” said The Brazilians Todd Macalpine.

The cover image above was drawn by local artist Greg Dwyer, who has worked on images for the band previously.

Black Wolf is available now on all digital formats here and will be available on CD from the official launch at The Tanks on Friday 12th.

“The Brazilians rock. Has a great tough swagger!!!!!”  – Ray Ahn , The Hard Ons

“Blending the lyrical wit and wisdom of Supersuckers and the musical chops of AC/DC getting their blues on, Waiting (For Rock n Roll to Come Around) is a self-fulfilling prophecy. It is full of foot-on-the-monitor grooves, fist-in-the-air singalong theatrics and gritty, low-slung garage rock grunt, and, to answer my earlier questions, groove, swagger and attitude.” Dave Franklin – Dancing About Architecture
