Justin Townes Earle

No stranger to the Southern Hemisphere, the formidable singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle, on the back of his brilliant new album, The Saint of Lost Causes, will be playing the Tanks Arts Centre for the first time on Friday September 13th.

The Tanks show forms part of a massive nationwide solo tour in support of the new album, kicking off in Melbourne and wrapping up in Cairns.

“Australia is one of my favourite countries to tour, and my fans there have always come out and supported my shows and my new music,” Justin says.

“I’m really looking forward to coming back for what will be my biggest Australian tour to date.”

Since launching his recording career a decade ago, Justin has established a reputation as a leading musician in the Americana music scene.

With fearless, personally-charged lyrical insight and infectious melodic craftsmanship, he is undoubtedly one of this generation’s greatest songwriters.

Between releasing four full-length, critically-acclaimed albums, constant touring, multiple stints in rehab, a new-found sobriety, being born Steve Earle’s son, amicable and not-so-amicable break-ups with record labels, and facing the trials and tribulations of everyday life, it’s safe to say JTE has quite the story to tell.

His latest album serves as the perfect platform for such narrations.
