Keb’ Mo’ Bluesfest Sideshow in Cairns

For those not lucky enough to be able to attend Bluesfest in April, a little bit of Bluesfest is coming your way..

Keb’ Mo’ has cultivated a reputation as a modern master of American roots music through the understated excellence of his live and studio performances.

It all took off for Keb’ in 1994 with a self-titled release and over the years has proven that he is a musical force that defies typical genre labels. With 14 albums, 4 Grammy Awards from 11 nominations, 11 Blues Foundation Awards and 6 Broadcast Music Inc. Awards for his work in TV & Film.

Artists who have recorded his songs include B.B. King, Buddy Guy, the Dixie Chicks, Joe Cocker, Robert Palmer, Tom Jones to name a few. Collaborations comprises a who’s who in the music industry including Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Jackson Browne, Natalie Cole, Lyle Lovett, India Arie, James Cotton and many more.

His guitar playing has garnered him 2 invites to Eric Clapton’s acclaimed Crossroads Festival and has inspired leading instrument makers, Gibson and Martin Guitars to issue limited edition signature models.

Keb’ Mo’ will be playing the Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns on Saturday the 13th of April 2019. You probably don’t need to be told that this Byron Bay Bluesfest side show is a real must do at the Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns. Tickets will surely sell fast so get in quick!
