Golden Brown tore the Elixir Bar audience a new one with a set of gritty ripped up and reassembled blues. Fronted by the enigmatic Slim Deal, they say he is the Bastard son of Tom Waits, born under a bad sign at the old Machans Beach crossroads, and that his mama made a meth fuelled deal with the ghost of Buddy Guy (who strangely enough is still alive). But hell, who really knows, “they” say a lot of things.. Kudos to guitarist ‘Greasy hands’ who nailed an authentically greasy blues tone. Awesome stuff..
