Resonate seems to be getting bigger each week lately with Knish making a great debut to a packed front bar last week. We have no intention of slowing it down, and this week (18th Feb) looks to be a killer lineup as well.

Kicking the night off from 7.00pm will be Emmaline. A rhythmical and lyrical songstress, Emmaline emanates a passionate, and positive roots experience. With uplifting, groove laden acoustic music. Drawing from her diverse skills, 20 years experience as an in-demand drummer/percussionist and dancer, and her Maori heritage. Since emerging from behind the drums to front the audience, her deep, playful style and flow of poetry has merged with guitar & vocals and her original conscious, compassionate lyrics embrace & celebrate life. The more observant local may remember Emmaline from when she played drums for 90s Pub Rock outfit Black Label!

One of our most requested acts by both punters and Grand Hotel staff would have to be the virtuoso ukulele duo Bosko & Honey.  Words fail to describe this incredible duo, blending virtuosic musicianship with humour and theatre, you just have to see them for yourselves. Bosko & Honey will be heading off down south directly after their Resonate show this Thursday to play at BrisAsia Festival 2016. B&H will be playing at the  Cosmic Closing Event, alongside Deep Blue Orchestra and the Cambodian Space Project.  Bosko & Honey hit the Resonate stage at 8.20pm

Playing the 9.30 slot this week is bluesy diva Brealyn Sheehan. Brea will be accompanied this week by Papa Stanley on upright bass and Johnny on guitar. Brea intimated that she may be dropping details of her upcoming CD release this Thursday. I have had the privilege to have a listen to a pre release copy and can tell you now it is a cracker! Come down and hear some tracks off the upcoming album played live.
