Resonate blasts into your Sunday arvo chill out zone this week with three fantastic acts.
The Brassett Hounds will be kicking off the day at 3pm, and will be playing tracks off their upcoming E.P “Chew Tobacco”, stay tuned for an interview with main Hound Andy Brassett this week.
Clifford De Silva made a big impact when he brought his awesome slide guitar work to Resonate last month, we look forward to catching Clifford again.
Funksters, Savidas will be playing the 5pm set this week. Always very popular at Resonate, we look forward to catching up with Gumpy and Uma. The duo tell me they have a new CD planned, stay tuned for more info!
Presented by Pandamonium Records and originally starting in 2003 at the Courthouse Hotel on Thursday nights, and then for several years back and forth between the Grand Hotel and the Courthouse Hotel, Resonate has recently returned to the Grand with a new Sunday afternoon session format. Resonate has become a local institution with Dan Sultan, Emma Louise, Danny Ross, Steve Towson and many more having all played Resonate early in their careers. Resonate is not an open mic night, and all artists are paid to ensure the best quality original artists are attracted and quality control is maintained. Resonate supports a sustainable local music industry.
Resonate kicks off at 3pm every Sunday at the Grand Hotel Cairns. Entry is free.
