Resonate kicks off again this Thursday night at the Grand Hotel with The Taste leading the charge this week. The Taste made a big impression on the Resonate crowd last month when they performed. Lead singer/rapper Vainz has to be a contender for the Guinness book of records worlds fastest rap on one song that left both him and the crowd breathless! If you haven’t experienced The Taste before, make sure you come down and check out their special brand of rootsy acoustic Hip Hop.

Playing the middle set on Thursday night will be Cairns original rock chicks, Becky and Deion from Chakra BC performing as their duo alter ego DFRS. Chakra BC were big in the early 00s NQ rock scene and have played many Pandamonium gigs over the years, including Resonate. Check out their film clip below for “Blind Eye” filmed by Brett Charles.

Last, but certainly not least will be Jo and Paul from Summer Rhyme playing the 9.30 set at Resonate. Stylistically touching on multiple genres including, reggae, rock, funk, with a touch o rap and pop. The original material is strongly focused on being of a positive and uplifting nature, and according to frontman Paul Sampson “you get to feel good about what you are dancing to”.

Resonate kicks off at 7.30pm every Thursday at the Grand hotel in Cairns. Entry is free!
