A city-wide power outage could not stop Resonate last week with Valerie Villa and Steve Williams both delivering awesome up close and personal acoustic sets to an eager crowd. The power came back on in time for both Joresoh and Eddie Skiba to perform, capping off a great afternoon of original music.

This week Resonate kicks off again from 4pm with Eli, Dan Howls, Ray Danes and Brealyn Sheehan. Dan Howls is only in town for another month, so make sure you catch him while you can, he is an act you really need to experience!

Presented by Pandamonium Records and originally starting in 2003 at the Courthouse Hotel on Thursday nights, and then for several years at the Grand Hotel, Resonate has recently returned to the Cairns Courthouse Hotel with a new Sunday afternoon session format. Resonate has become a local institution with Dan Sultan, Emma Louise, Danny Ross, Steve Towson and many more having all played Resonate early in their careers. Resonate is not an open mic night, and all artists are paid to ensure the best quality original artists are attracted and quality control is maintained.

Resonate kicks off at 4pm every Sunday at Cairns Courthouse Hotel. Entry is free.

Resonate is on rain hail or shine. In the event of bad weather Resonate will be moved inside to the main bar area.
