Couldn’t fault the weather or the talent at last week’s Resonate as a great crowd turned out to catch the afternoons entertainment.
It’s happening all again this week the 18th of September with the big man with the big voice G.G Davies opening the afternoon at 3pm with some of his awesome blues originals from the wrong side of the tracks. Talented songstress Valerie Villa will be playing the 2nd set. Eddie Skiba will be playing the 5pm set this week. Eddie Skiba is no stranger to the Resonate stage and his catchy, well crafted songs always go down a treat with the crowd. Eddie has recently released a new album titled “Blend On The Border” and has been getting around the country doing launch shows. Check out Mitch Sullivan’s excellent review of Blend On The Border.
Dynamic duo Savidas will be bringing the funk for the 6pm set. Savidas are soon to release a new album and a new fimclip, watch NQ Music Press for more details soon..
Presented by Pandamonium Records and originally starting in 2003 at the Courthouse Hotel on Thursday nights, and then for several years at the Grand Hotel, Resonate has recently returned to the Cairns Courthouse Hotel with a new Sunday afternoon session format. Resonate has become a local institution with Dan Sultan, Emma Louise, Danny Ross, Steve Towson and many more having all played Resonate early in their careers. Resonate is not an open mic night, and all artists are paid to ensure the best quality original artists are attracted and quality control is maintained.
Resonate kicks off at 3pm every Sunday at Cairns Courthouse Hotel. Entry is free.
Resonate is on rain hail or shine. In the event of bad weather Resonate will be moved inside to the main bar area.
