Cairns based independent artist LT is back for 2024 with her latest single “Mercy!” set to hit dance-floors everywhere on March 14. “Mercy!” is the first of many for LT this year, and is reminiscent of the early 2000’s Dance, Electronic, Pop era (Sophie Ellis-Bextor meets La Roux). This new electronic dance collaboration is proof that an unsigned artist living in a regional location does not have to hinder your success.

“Mercy!” Is a collaboration between LT and London based producer JHustl3 which came together during the pandemic. After LT penned a few lyrics and shot through some melody ideas, Joe began putting down some beats and the two continued to work back and forth for quite some time changing chord progressions, styles, and building their song until “Mercy!” was born.

LT discusses the subject matter of her latest song: “Mercy! is inspired by the struggles faced with being an introvert at heart, and the social anxiety that comes with that. It’s using all your strength to get yourself to the party, and then looking for an escape route as soon as you arrive. It’s about being trapped in awkward conversations and wishing you could just disappear”.

Mercy! is available on all streaming and download services from 14th March and has been added to NQ Music Press Radio playlist.
