It’s shaping up to be a mega Resonate this Sunday the 26th of Nov with 3 superb all original acts.
Timothy James Wright takes the Resonate stage for the 3pm set. Fresh from his recent single and film clip for “Love Is A Wasteland” Tim is preparing a full album release after xmas. Check out our recent interview with Tim here
Ray Danes makes his welcome return to Resonate for the 4pm set this week. Ray began his music career under the influence of artists such as Ed Sheeran and Ben Howard, developing his own unique songwriting and vocal style over the past couple of years. Ray just seems to get better and more polished each time we see him at Resonate.
Drew Boy & The Sax Addicts returns to play the 5pm set this week. Drew with his band the Sax Addicts have been making waves around town recently playing the popular Grass Is Greener festival with a bunch of big name acts like British India. Drew is another artist with a full album in the works for release in the new year.
Presented by Pandamonium Records and originally starting in 2003 at the Courthouse Hotel on Thursday nights, and then for several years back and forth between the Grand Hotel and the Courthouse Hotel, Resonate has recently returned to the Grand with a new Sunday afternoon session format. Resonate has become a local institution with Dan Sultan, Emma Louise, Danny Ross, Steve Towson and many more having all played Resonate early in their careers. Resonate is not an open mic night, and all artists are paid to ensure the best quality original artists are attracted and quality control is maintained. Resonate supports a sustainable local music industry.
Resonate kicks off at 3pm every Sunday at the Grand Hotel Cairns. Entry is free.
Resonate is on rain hail or shine with plenty of cover from the elements at the Grand
