It’s great to see Resonate regulars Bosko & Honey joining the ranks of Past Resonaters Dan Sultan, Emma Louise, Danny Ross and others by going out into the world and making a national name for themselves. The dynamic duo have been going great guns on Australia’s Got Talent. This Thursday the 3rd of March we present 3 more potential superstars for your music enjoyment.
Opening up the night at 7.00pm this week is up and coming songstress Valerie Villa. For someone that has only been writing her own songs for a year or so, her songs show a maturity that belies her experience. I heard a rumour that Valerie will be unveiling some new songs this week..
Playing the 8.20 set this week is Rebecca Langtree. Rebecca has been popping up at venues all around town, including a support slot with the Tea Party’s Jeff Martin at Brothers last year. Rebecca has a very unique voice and a load of very tasty originals. It’s been a while since Bec played Resonate and we look forward to her gracing the Resonate stage again.
Ray Danes is playing the 9.30 slot this week, Ray had to cancel his Resonate slot last week due to a temporary illness. Ray is an artist that just keeps getting better each time he performs at Resonate. Ray is moving to Melbourne soon, so make sure you get in to catch his set while you still can. Ray has been signed to Mushroom Music publishing and it’s only a matter of time till he hits the big time.
Resonate is staged every Thursday night at the Grand Hotel in Cairns. Resonate blasts off at 7.00pm entry is free!
