The front lawn of the Cairns Courthouse Hotel seems to be getting more popular each Sunday as locals and tourists alike drop in for a meal and a beer or two while soaking up some of the NQs best original songwriters.

This week you can catch emerging songstress Valerie Villa, Emmaline, who has just released her new album “Emanate”, The welsh wonder of the world big Steve Williams and Uma and Gumpy AKA Savidas will be bringing your weekend to a funky end when they play the 5pm slot.

Presented by Pandamonium Records and originally starting in 2003 at the Courthouse Hotel on Thursday nights, and then for several years at the Grand Hotel, Resonate has recently returned to the Cairns Courthouse Hotel with a new Sunday afternoon session format. Resonate has become a local institution with Dan Sultan, Emma Louise, Danny Ross, Steve Towson and many more having all played Resonate early in their careers. Resonate is not an open mic night, and all artists are paid to ensure the best quality original artists are attracted and quality control is maintained.

Resonate kicks off at 2pm every Sunday at Cairns Courthouse Hotel. Entry is free.

Resonate is on rain hail or shine. In the event of bad weather Resonate will be moved inside to the main bar area.
