TerrorFest to hit Cairns with metal heavyweights.
Central Australian death metal quintet Miazma will headline this year’s touring metal festival TerrorFest, held on April 22 in Mackay, April 23 in Townsville and April 24 in Cairns.
For the first time in their extensive touring history Alice Springs’ Miazma will perform in Cairns at The Grand Hotel along with Gladstone progressive-hardcore trio Red in Tooth and Sunshine Coast psychedelic groove-rockers Hobo Magic (pictured), and an abundance of local North Queensland acts.
After launching in Cairns in 2015, TerrorFest will be returning on Sunday 24 with the exciting lineup. Featuring a special appearance from Bosko and Honey, this year’s show has something for everyone.
The biggest touring metal festival in Queensland is excited to tour with the NT band. With aggressive riffs and uncompromising vocals, Miazma have quickly gained national attention due to their acclaimed debut album and fiercely energetic live performances. They are currently on their fourth national tour, supporting their second album “North” released in February. Upon completion of this tour, the band will have totalled over 40,000km of driving, equal to the circumference of Earth.
From death metal to psych rock, this year’s TerrorFest lineup also features Cairns stalwarts Salacious, Odius, Bosko & Honey, Meat Bikini, Clam Sandwich, Knights of Akasha and Criimes.
